VEX IQ Learning

Learn the Basics!

VEX IQ Learning: Welcome

How does this Course Help?

This course prepares young individuals for the endless possibilities presented by the robotics world. This course is aimed towards elementary school students, sixth graders, and seventh graders. They will learn, build, program, experiment, and more through this noncompetitive, interactive course!

VEX IQ Learning: Courses & Programs

How will the Instructors Aid these New Students?

The instructors will teach the kids the basics of engineering such as the types of designs and gear ratios, while making sure that the students learn to think outside of the box to engineer new solutions to the design problems at hand. They will also teach the basics of programming using block or written coding depending on the student's comfort level.

Implementation of Knowledge

Students part of this course will then experiment with their knowledge through the VEX IQ parts and make robots using their own creativity. They can also build robots using the guide manuals provided by the VEX program.

Building

The VEX IQ parts are very kid friendly as they are snap together parts. This allows for a rapid design process and quicker testing and experimentation. This will allows students to test their own designs, learn from their mistakes, and try out new designs in a much shorter amount of time! (And they get to use all the supplies they want!)

Programming

Programming is an essential part of robotics. Students will learn to program their robots to be driven manually and to perform tasks autonomously. This will greatly enhance their knowledge and abilities as they learn more advanced programming systems which can be implemented towards more complex robots.
